Our Next Medieval-ish Book Club Read Will Be…!
You voted; here’s the results.
Thank you to all who voted to choose our next Book Club read. There will be a fuller post next week sharing all the usual details and officially ‘launching’ the group read. For now, however, I am delighted to share that we will be reading…
Storyland by Amy Jeffs
For those who are new to the Medieval Musings Book Club, it runs like this:
We read a book over three months. A few weeks before we get going, I’ll email out the reading schedule, key themes, and optional self-study, pre-reading list.
At the start of each month, I’ll email out a short reminder of the pages for that month, the key theme to look out for, and a few discussion questions.
At the end of each month, I’ll email out a deep-dive post, with an extended thematic essay and space to reflect on what we’ve read.
At the end of the three months, we’ll join together for a Substack Live Q&A to chat about the book.
The official start of the Book Club read will be 7th July, when the first monthly schedule post will be sent out, and our first deep-dive post will be on 25th July. You might, however, want to get your hands on a copy of Storyland in the meantime! (I know that shipping can take a very long time in some regions)
I can’t wait to read and discuss Storyland with you!
Make sure to subscribe if you aren’t already, so that you don’t miss out on any of the launch posts.

for those coming from my side of the pond, the book is on Kindleunlimited in the US, or 11.99 to buy on Kindle.
Workload has lightened slightly; hoping to join this read!
